Is HistologyEquipment.com’s pricing competitive?
As a part of Mercedes Scientific, histologyequipment.com.com strives to provide the absolute lowest price while refusing to sacrifice customer service. Our equipment is truly refurbished, and we stand behind it with a full warranty. While you can always find a “cheaper” price for used lab equipment, you won’t find a more thorough or detailed restoration anywhere. It’s important to remember that only a few companies offer truly refurbished histology equipment. And there is a world of difference between fully refurbished equipment and “used” equipment. Most of the time, “cheaper used equipment” will cost you a lot more over time than more “expensive” equipment that is fully refurbished. Our goal is to always be price competitive, and delivering real value is where we excel.
I don’t see the model of equipment I am looking for– what should I do?
Don’t see what you are looking for? Give us a call. We have a large network of dealers that we work with. We can typically find just about anything. So if it is a current model equipment that is still supported by the manufacturer, we should be able to source it for you.
Do you carry other products besides histology equipment?
Yes! Mercedes Scientific is a distributor of laboratory supplies, so we have you covered on just about everything under the sun that you might need for your lab, whether it’s equipment or consumable supplies that you are looking for.
Can I find out what year the equipment was made?
Depending on the manufacturer, the date the equipment was made might not be available. Leica has date stamped most of their equipment (but not all). So if it’s Leica equipment then there is a reasonable chance we can provide that information. Sakura and Thermo did not date stamp most of their equipment, so dates of manufacture for that equipment is only available on a limited basis, if at all.
Does your equipment come with a warranty?
With just a few exceptions, all of our equipment comes with the same warranty you get if you buy brand new. Typically, that is a one-year part and labor warranty.
What does the equipment warranty cover?
Our warranty works like other equipment warranties. It covers equipment failures that are not a result of human error.
Do you take trade-ins?
Yes, we do take trade-ins on certain current model equipment that is still supported by the manufacturers. You can send us pictures through this website, or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll review the images and let you know what your trade-in is worth to us.

Who do I call if we need to submit a warranty claim?
If you have any problems at all with equipment that you have purchased, please call our equipment department right away at 800-331-2716 x116. We will troubleshoot the situation with you, determine the course of action, and send a qualified service tech over immediately to make the repair. It is important that you contact Mercedes Scientific first, before scheduling a repair on your own. This will allow us to ensure it is resolved as efficiently as possible.

How long does it take before my order will ship?
It all depends. We do maintain the largest inventory of refurbished histology equipment. So if we are advertising it we have it in stock. Many of our competitors do not keep inventory in stock and have to source it after you place an order. Not us. We maintain a full inventory all of the time. If you need to know specifically when something will be ready to ship, just give us a call and we can tell you right away how long it will take us to complete an item if it’s not done already: 800-331-2716 x116.
